Schools and colleges
Since its founding in 1931 NCKU has undergone tremendous transformation and growth. Today our University comprises 11 colleges: Engineering, Management, Liberal Arts, Science, Medicine, Social Sciences, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Planning and Design, Bioscience and Biotechnology, Miin Wu School of Computing, and Academy of Innovative Semiconductor and Sustainable Manufacturing.
NCKU’s beautiful tree-lined campus in Tainan is home to a five-star library, public artworks and historic buildings. The rich cultural heritage of this historic city makes it an inspiring place to live and study, with great places to eat, visit and socialize. The campus itself plays hosts to so many extra-curricular organized activities that there’s always something new to do and new people to meet. No wonder quickly it feels like home for students from all corners of the globe.
To enhance students’ global competency, NCKU is committed to building and internationalized learning environment that promotes engagement between local and international students. The institution also endeavors to improve its administrative services to aid international students in learning Taiwanese cultures and fitting into the institution and society. By accelerating an internationalized environment, promoting talent cultivation, and raising awareness of global issues, NCKU aims to nurture empathetic, independently-minded young professionals that thrive throughout their careers.
